How to Enter

To enter, you must register and pay your fee as an individual and yet participate as part of a team. There is a $50 fee per person to participate. You must pay by check or credit card before January 17, 2024, to participate in the competition.

Team Selection

  • All entrants must be enrolled undergraduate students at UGA as of the Spring Semester of 2024. Teams must be made up of 4 – 5 people.
  • Students in the Digital Marketing Area of Emphasis are required to participate at least once as part of their degree program.
  • Students are free to recruit outside of the marketing major in order to round out the skill set of their team as long as at least two team members are marketing students.

Once registered, you must be placed on a team of 4-5 people.

If you already know your teammates, after you have registered individually, enter your team.

Smart team selection is key to doing well in this competition.  Here are some guidelines to help you choose the best teammates.

Team Roles:

  • Team Leader/Project Manager
  • Team Creative Lead (both visual and/or copywriting)
  • Team Marketer/Pitch Leader (thinks through how to deliver for client needs and also “win the pitch”)
  • Team Strategy Lead (understands how to integrate marketing and creative together)

Team Member Success Factors:

  • Make sure you feel confident that each team member will contribute equally to the success of your team.
  • Try to get on a team with people who have the same objective as you. If you want to win, make sure your teammates are willing to do the work. Want to check the box? Be real with your teammates about your objectives and time commitment.
  • Consider your teammate’s personalities, attitudes, and drive. Will you enjoy working together?
  • Add team members who bring a skill that is necessary and/or deficient from your team.

Kickoff Dinner

The Blind Auditions will conclude with a formal ceremony (Kickoff Dinner) on January 26.  During the evening activities, Team/Coach pairings will be revealed. In addition, the client will do a deep dive into the brand and the business problem to be solved.
