Following her social media blackout in August, Taylor Swift can now be found around every corner. The releases of all three singles from her upcoming album Reputation (dropping 11/10) have been met with explosive responses from fans. And now, she’s is giving the fans even more Taylor Swift for their daily life.
On October 11, Taylor released a 30-second video announcing The Swift Life- a social media platform all about her. The app will feature exclusive content like photos, videos, and more. It also introduces “Taymojis”, reminiscent of Kim Kardashian’s “Kimojis”. The most important feature of The Swift Life is that Taylor herself will be active on the app, so she will be able to like and comment on user posts, giving fans an intimate opportunity to have a personal connection with their celebrity idol.
Taylor has always been active with her loyal fanbase. Especially earlier in her career, it wasn’t unusual to find her comments on Tumblr and Instagram fanpages. This app may just be a time-saver for her, where she can see her fans posts and interact with them in one aggregated platform.
The Swift Life comes from Glu Mobile, the app development company that brought us the wildly successful and addicting Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game in 2014. There’s no word yet whether The Swift Life will offer in-app purchases, but the app itself is free to download and will launch in “late 2017”.
