Social Media Campaigns to Help Small Businesses

Social Media Campaigns to Help Small Businesses

By writing this blog, I want to inspire small business owners to increase their businesses through the use of effective social media campaigns. Around 78% of businesses have now dedicated teams for their social media. This is up from 67% in 2012, demonstrating that increasingly, organizations are acknowledging the power of social media to attract and engage customers. There is a bit of bad news though. Some research reports that 83% of customers have reported bad experiences with social media marketing. As a business owner, it’s clear that using social media marketing to your advantage is critical, but do you know how to maximize the impact of your social media marketing campaigns? Do you know what your goals should be, and how to achieve them?

Facebook is the biggest platform to get your company/product on the map. If you want to generate leads and create brand awareness you should look into Facebook’s boosted posts. This keeps you relevant and on the mind of the consumer. Facebook’s Ad campaign is a gold mine for lead generation as well as ad recall. When applied effectively, it can help drive leads in a cost-effective way and also help boost brand favorability.

A recent Facebook campaign I was interested in was a company called TVibes. TVibes is a unique company that allows customers to create their own TV channels using their own mobile videos, which is stored in the cloud. They are best known for allowing users to choose their own audiences to view the channels. What they wanted to accomplish was to establish loyal and engaged app users. They decided to integrate Facebook into their social app. This made it easy for followers to create accounts, log in and explore channels created by their acquaintances, all done conveniently from their Facebook home pages. To help encourage signups based on targeted audience groups, the founders made use of mobile app instal adds. By sorting their audiences based on reactions to video ads and with the clever use of lookalike audiences, they had a brilliant strategy of optimizing their campaign. The results were AMAZING!

  • 50% of new app installs driven by Facebook
  • 10% higher loyalty and conversion from those Facebook-driven installs
  • 20% higher engagement rates from Facebook user

Key takeaways: Leads and customers gained by Facebook-driven campaigns are a lot more likely to engage and are more likely to stay loyal over the long run. Video ad campaigns are valuable marketing strategies that can massively impact your number of new customers and long-term clients.

Lastly, Facebook isn’t the only platform you can use. To masterfully increase sales and brand awareness get on all platforms! (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat).

I really liked your blog post! I totally agree! Social is something that has to be incorporated in almost every business in order for them to be successful. Facebook has also come a long way from their initial purpose and this has really allowed them to corner the market in terms of offering advertising and marketing services that have a much wider reach than most other platforms.

I couldn’t agree more with your post. I too, feel that small businesses could really thrive by putting more of an emphasis on digital marketing. I plan on doing that myself for my family business after graduation. Facebook will be a definite first choice due to it’s business-friendly design. There are so many cool features to use!
