Everyone daydreams about relaxation and escaping their everyday lives and typically think of the stereotypical beaches that include palm trees, warm sand and deep blue water. Most people even document these fantasies on their social media accounts. I daydream about the most beautiful beaches around the world. The ones with exotic creatures roaming the oceanfront and the colorful sands with crystal clear water. In these posts I plan to explore the internets most famous beaches and to hopefully alter the imaginations of many people and encourage them to explore their wildest dreams. So, today’s entry is about the beautiful pink sand beaches in Bermuda.
These are some of the most picturesque beaches in the world and often overlooked due to the better known locations in Bermuda that include the colorful buildings and rolling golf courses. However, once you see this true shade of pink, there is nothing that can possibly compare. Another fun fact about these beaches is that it is simply natures creation. The pastel pink comes from a geographic phenomenon called foraminifera, a marine organism. When it dies, the foraminifera shells sink to the ocean’s bottom and then are washed ashore and drenched in the sun and sand to create this rose color. Horseshoe Beach is Bermuda’s best known spot to experience this remarkable scenery. There is more than one way to visit this location, rather it be by plane, resort or by a cruise. I highly recommend everyone put this vacation on their bucket list.
