Anyone that knows me knows that I have a huge sweet tooth. I would trudge through a blizzard to get a blizzard at Dairy Queen! (If they would be open of course.) I had a good workout today, so I decided to award myself with some frozen yogurt at Di’lishi Frozen Yogurt Bar because I saw some ads about it on Facebook. They had many different toppings, flavors of frozen yogurt and friendly employees. I see why they got a 4.7 out of 5 star rating. Then I thought about Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt and how they had the same as well, except they have a 4.6 out of 5 star rating. I noticed a big difference between the two frozen yogurt places by the way they advertise. Di’lishi posts an ad or an update almost every day on their Facebook or Instagram pages and they respond to every single positive or negative review. I looked at Menchie’s Facebook and Instagram pages and they don’t post much at all. They still have some good and bad reviews, but they didn’t respond to any negative reviews or even like any positive reviews. What if some people wanted to get some frozen yogurt this past week when it was snowing? Nobody would’ve known if they were open or closed because they didn’t post an update at all. I know it’s common knowledge that they probably would’ve closed like many other businesses did, but customers still need an update just to be sure. Don’t get me wrong, I still love Menchie’s, but I just wonder if they’re relying too heavily on the brand’s popularity to market itself.
