The Kardashian-Jenner’s have created a huge name for themselves. Everyone in the family is extremely wealthy and making a living off of their TV show. Kylie Jenner on the other hand saw things differently for herself. Yes, she generates money off of their show, Keeping up with the Kardashians, but she also is a creator of her own company, Kylie Cosmetics. Kylie is worth an estimated $900 million, she is by far the richest member of the family.
Kylie was featured on Forbes, “American’s Women Billionaires”, and was set to become the youngest self-made billionaire ever. The 21-year-old has built up a cosmetic empire, starred in her own spin-off show “Life of Kylie”, and stared a clothing line with her sister, “Kendall and Kylie”. But for this blog, I want to tune into her cosmetic line. She has sold more than $630 million worth of make up in just two years. Social media has been a huge impact, she has more than 115 million followers on Instagram and 25.4 million followers on Twitter. Her Kylie Cosmetics Twitter has roughly 706,000 followers. As a global influencer and youngest member of one of the most famous families, Kylie has cornered the fashion and beauty market. She focused her attention on the demographic of Millennials and Gen Z’ers who find interest in the latest trends and have also grown up with social media. With that being said, if Kylie posts one advertisement of her products, it then reaches over 115 million people in the world. Kylie focuses her content distribution over Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.
Another strong thing Kylie does, is promote her own brand. She wears her makeup every day and posts videos to her audience on what she is wearing. She also partners up with influencers to bring in more viewers that potentially followed the other person but not Kylie. Kylies net worth is roughly 1 billion dollars in two years, with this, she is projected to increase by another $400,000,000 in 2018 alone.
Many people dislike her and her family, but they have smart worth ethic and know what sells to consumers. They may not be the brightest, but they do have a sense of business. I personally am excited to see what more Kylie is going to do with her brand. Her sister, Kim Kardashian recently also launched a make-up line.
