Same Content, New Responses: Levi’s Vote Campaign

With November right around the corner, many businesses are starting to use their platform to push people to vote. Some companies have begun pushing political agendas such as Nike which I expanded upon last week. Others have simply asked their customers to get registered to vote. Levi’s is one of the many brands who have used their platform to promote voting. Levi’s is one of the most “all American” brands. America is huge on fashion trends. Trends change faster than most can even realize. Jeans have withstood the test of time and are a staple to the average American’s wardrobe. Now the classic brand is calling people to use their voice.

They released this ad a week ago for National Voter Registration Day.

They captioned it by saying “We encourage everyone to use their voice to make a positive impact on the world. With Midterm Elections nearing, your vote is the ultimate use of your voice. So use it.” The ad features the song “Think” by Aretha Franklin which rings a melody of freedom. The ad features people of diverse backgrounds voting.

 

While Levi doesn’t push a certain agenda, they certainly are putting their voice out there in the political environment. The response is surprisingly positive. No matter what side of the aisle you stand on, people can come together and agree that the ability to exercise our right to vote is important. With such an important season upon us, I encourage you to use your voice just as Levi has done to support the things you believe in. Maybe the response, similar to the one Levi’s have received, will be more positive than you imagined.
