Atlanta’s first distillery since 1906 goes by the name Old Fourth. Located in the Old Fourth district of Atlanta, two longtime friends are taking their crack at the industry. Old Fourth’s mission since 2014 is “to make the world’s finest spirits using only the best ingredients available with cutting edge technology and centuries-old traditions. We strive to support our community, local artists and musicians; and we are always looking for opportunities to give back to the city which has given us so much. We strive to be environmentally active and responsible, utilizing sound environmental practices whenever possible.” Their mission is social forward and an aspect that likely is helping their efforts by being involved in the community.
Taking a look first at Old Fourth’s website they have a visually appealing platform. The website is filled with info about them, their products, recipes and much more. They currently have two alcoholic product offerings: vodka and gin. From what I can see, their instagram page is a priority for them. As you can see they have partnered with Atlanta United to co-brand their gin with the team. This has created a lot of buzz around Atlanta and on social media. Below is a great example of this idea.
The other posts on instagram are engaging as well as focused more on what the viewer wants see and less on selling product. The photography is excellent and there appear to be a lot of cocktail ideas. Coming into this post I felt Old Fourth didn’t have much going for them on social media. However, after some research I think they have a great presence and should continue along the same path.
