Student Spotlight: Jordan Matilsky

Tags :

Jordan Matilsky is a senior Marketing major at the University of Georgia and an active member in the Georgia community. Jordan leads on the New Member Development Board in Pi Sig Epsilon, UGA’s marketing fraternity. He has experience in various industries as he worked at Mountain Sky Guest Ranch as a Hospitality Intern in Emigrant, Montana, and Novelis as a Marketing-Communications Intern for 4 months in Atlanta, GA.

In Mountain Sky Guest Ranch, Jordan networked with several influential guests and made them feel comfortable and relaxed during their stay. Jordan learned the ins and outs of the hospitality industry by shadowing the management of this award-winning guest dude ranch.

During his 4-month internship with Novelis as a Marketing-Communications Intern, Jordan worked on quarterly town halls, monthly leadership webcasts and newsletters, frequent intranet blog posts, daily informational display screens, content posted on an employee-only social media application (Novelis Connect), and many other campaigns and projects. He had a wide variety of responsibilities that came with the work done in the communications department.

Outside of his great professional experiences, he enjoys spending his weekends at an Atlanta Falcons game, playing strategy board games with his friends and family, and camping/hiking. Jordan loves to travel and meet new people. He is particularly strong in building relationships while developing his network.

Jordan majored in Marketing due to the heavy emphasis on collaboration and communication. He hopes to gain experience in both the agency and brand side of marketing in order to better understand the marketing field as a whole. After building this experience, he plans to one day open up his own marketing agency. Jordan is going to do amazing things in his career, and I cannot wait to see how far he goes.
