In my opinion, this is one of the most overlooked resources on campus: Nutrition Kitchen. Based out of the University Health Center, these $5 cooking classes are a great opportunity for organizations to have an on-campus event, or for a group of friends who want to try something new.
I went for the first time last week and had a great experience. Not only do you get cooking tips, but you get to eat what you make right after! The class theme was road ready meals based off of three vegetarian dishes: spicy Asian noodles, a bean and quinoa power bowl, and honey garlic chopped chickpea salad. This was chosen from a huge list of options that included pizza night, desserts, vegan basics, breakfast on the go, and smoothies.
The class is 1.5 hours long (with time to eat at the end), and is super convenient by being on campus, close to Ramsey. Best of all, there was plenty of food to take home with us, so we all had leftovers. Again, for $5 only!
