Molly Retter is a senior at the University of Georgia, currently majoring in International Affairs, having already completed a minor in Russian. Hardworking, determined and kind, Molly truly embodies what it means to be a student at UGA. Molly has spent her past three and a half years at UGA involved in a variety of activities and stands out as exceptional amongst her peers.
She has been an active member in the Delta Zeta sorority, studied abroad in South Africa, completed an internship with a political candidate, works for the University of Georgia as a security guard and is currently on track to complete her Masters at UGA in only one year. Additionally, Molly plans on working at the United States Embassy in Africa this upcoming summer.
From a young age, Molly has always been fascinated with politics and the intricacies of global relationships among countries around the world. Her goal, she says, is to “make a positive impact on the world around me”. After completing her Masters, Molly plans on working in Washington D.C. for the government.
In her free time, (which is rare!) Molly enjoys going to Orange Theory, goings to concerts with her friends and watching Game of Thrones. She is also passionate about spending time with her family and her dog Minnie.
When asked what her favorite quote is, Molly says, “It’s simple: Do Good!”. One thing’s for sure: Molly’s success is just beginning, and I can’t wait to see her upcoming achievements!
