When thinking of extraordinary students, Hayley is quick to come to mind. Hayley currently serves as the Vice President of Internal Events for American Marketing Association where is responsible for planning networking events for the entire chapter and managing a $4,000 budget. She also served as one of 7 members on the American Marketing Association International Case Competition for the Wall Street Journal. In this case competition, she worked on analyzing key consumer insights, conducted secondary and primary research, SWOT analysis, and created strategy relating to increasing the relevance of the WSJ’s mission to their target audience. This is not Hayley’s first digital case competition as she was on the winning team for the Digital Marketing Competition for FilmStruck last year. In this competition, she competed with 150 students and maximized a $100,000 budget to solve digital marketing challenges.
Outside of this, Hayley has gained a tremendous amount of experience through internships. Beginning with Virtual Properties Realty she worked as a marketing intern on the companies social media accounts. She then Interned with Global Payments Inc as a member of the corporate finance and marketing teams. She has also served as a Brand Advocate for the Wall Street Journal where she raised brand awareness by utilizing social media, handing out promotions, and tabling. She increased subscriptions by 40% by acquiring 1672 student activations. This past summer she worked as the Brand Development Marketing Intern for Newell Brands. She was a member of the FoodSaver team working with store presence, creating pricing ladders, and completing the competitive analysis. She drove revenue growth through conducting marketing research and conceptualized 10 new product ideas.
Hayley will be working at E& J Gallo Winery working in sales following her graduation in May 2019. She decided she likes the personal touch sales brings and is excited to begin her career. She is passionate about cultivating relationships and looks forward to having a job focused on her passion.
Hayley cites the Digital Marketing competition as being incredibly impactful on her and created a passion within in her to get involved in other Terry aspects. She advises all students to take advantage of every opportunity to to get involved early.
Hayley’s passion shows in all the work she completes. I am confident she will be incredibly successful throughout the rest of her career.
