The transition into upper division courses in your major can be difficult, especially when you are trying to stand out academically, make friends, secure an internship and figure out what your world is going to look like after college. Like with most things in life, it will all work out, but it’s easier if you have a network made up of like-minded people who share your interests and can help you along the way.
For students in the Terry College Digital Marketing Area of Emphasis at UGA, we encourage involvement in the following groups.
American Marketing Association student membership at UGA offers many benefits, from career resources, platforms for professional development and experiential learning, execution of chapter events, leadership development, to taking part in the AMA competition offered annually.
At the national level, the Student Resource Center provides helpful information for student members including finding internships networking opportunities. Participating in AMA competitions and being a part of an AMA chapter can take your marketing career to the next level!
At the local level, student teams work with real clients doing live marketing activity. Students participate in weekly meetings and enjoy great networking with guest speakers.
AMA@UGA members belong to both the local chapter and the national organization.
