Digital Marketing Competition

2024 marks the 11th Annual Digital Marketing Case Competition. We are excited to be working with Aaron’s as our client. Students will work in groups of 4-5 and be tasked with creating an integrated, multichannel marketing campaign while working alongside our highly acclaimed marketing professionals acting as their coaches. This competition is known to provide the client with several thoroughly-vetted, agency-level strategies.

In the past, we have partnered with a handful of influential Atlanta Brands. We have seen it true that this competition not only benefits the client with quality work – but the students as well. Students enjoy the opportunity to dive deeper than class provides and to create real implementable work for a client. This case also walks the student through every aspect of a marketing campaign allowing them to find interest to specialize in their interests early on.

This year’s competition begins on January 26th, with a kick-off dinner in Athens. This is the first point students are introduced to the brand’s problem and their coach. From here, the clock is ticking and the competition is in full swing. Each coach begins with five teams in the first stage of the competition. In each round students will compete to not be eliminated. When each coach has one team left, the students will compete in the final round against the other coach’s teams. The client will judge the final round, where students will present their work and the overall winner will be chosen.

This coach-student relationship is an incredibly unique aspect of this competition. The coaches are actively involved throughout the process and lead the students to success. This is often the first true interaction students have working alongside an industry professional. Many of these relationships form into deeper mentorships and stay in contact for years to come.
